Online biz is such a trip. It’s like the best personal development course ever.
I recently started working with more plant-based health coaches helping them grow their businesses, and a friend said "Are you sure? Aren’t they your competition?"
Maybe you’ve felt that way before?
I sure have.
However, I now don’t feel like I have competition. No one can do The Seasonal Diet like I can. No one can be me better than me.
So if you’re also a plant-based health coach, I see you, I’m glad you're here, the world needs us more than ever.
I did another video on How To Stand Out Online, but the way to do it and no longer have competition is to be yourself.
Like really really be yourself.
I did a course years ago where they told me to be controversial, but that didn’t resonate with me because I’m not a fan of conflict.
However, I know now that by simply sharing your real opinions and stories, you’ll naturally get people who don’t agree with you.
I wanted to share this today because maybe you’re ready to go live or share things on your personal page that you’ve never shared before, but you really want to.
I say go for it.
People need to hear your stories. The story is what connects us.
However, your family might get offended. Your friends might think it’s weird.
But, as my lovely husband likes to say, this isn’t high school anymore, and you shouldn’t care so much what other people think.
If you want to be successful as a plant-based coach, if you want to put an end to competition, you have to share your message.
What’s something you believe about health that you have been scared to share? If you think it can help someone else, share it.
Peter and I were afraid to say we were plant-based coaches for so long, which had us blending in with all of the other coaches.
I was afraid to talk about the domestic violence and alcoholism that was a big part of my childhood. However, that's something I share with some of my favorite clients. If I didn’t share that I probably wouldn’t be working with them.
I know it can be scary to put yourself out there, and honestly, you don’t have to. You can continue to work for other people and not do the work you really want to be doing.
But I don’t think you want that.
For me, this is it. As hard as entrepreneurship can be sometimes, I know I can’t ever go back to working for someone else.
